About the proprietor
Mark Pascual played music professionally for a number of years on the Sound City Band and Punta Rebels. The latter group was one of the biggest acts in Belize, Guatemala and Mexico from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s. Even though playing live music was one of Mark's passions, he also wanted to know about the business side of music. He spent time and resources learning about copyrights, music publishing and administration.
After he stopped touring with Punta Rebels, he and one of his former bandmates started Grigatainment Music. At first, the business was primarily recording and producing records. After amassing a collection of various copyrights, the business, under the leadership of Mark, progressed more into music publishing and administration.

Grigatainment Music is a small music publishing company that oversees the copyright of a few songs. The music publishing company focuses primarily on the music of the Garinagu people of Belize.
The Garinagu people are descendants of the Caribs and African slaves, who traveled the Lesser Antilles and later settled on the island of St. Vincent. They lost a battle with the British on the island and were exiled. They traveled to the coast of Central America and made Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, and Belize their home. They brought their music and rich cultural heritage along with them.
The music of the Garinagu involves genres such as Punta Rock and Paranda. Grigatainment Music's catalog is 90% Punta Rock and Paranda, with 10% of its catalog being a mixture of other genres from the Caribbean Islands.
